Ideal for operations such as radioisotope cell labelling, elutions from 99Mo/99mTc generators, or radiolabelling of radioelements such as 99mTc, 201Tl, 111In and 123I, this device provides optimum protection against ionising radiation while guaranteeing a working environment that complies with the strictest standards.
This model of PSMEB is available in the following dimensions: 900, 1,200, 1,500 or 1,800 mm in length, with lead-equivalent shielding of 5, 10, 15, 25, 30 or 50 mm.
The PSMEB type II B2 features a sliding shield screen made of leaded glass, with thicknesses varying from 30 to 80 mm depending on the model. Combined with 5mm to 25mm lead shields, it offers uniform whole-body radiation protection, essential for handling in a controlled ISO 5 (class A) workspace.
Equipped with a HEPA H14 filtration system, the PSMEB guarantees optimum air circulation with 100% air renewal, in compliance with the strict requirements of European standard EN-12469 – NSF/ANSI 49. Designed to comply with international standards, including the Machinery Directive 2006/42 and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU, the PSMEB maintains ISO 3 (Class A) air quality, measured in accordance with EN-14644. This laminar flow forms an effective air barrier with a minimum velocity of 0.4 m/s, guaranteeing both maximum protection for the user and the integrity of the substances handled, including pathogenic elements.
