Delay tanks

The delay tank helps separate solids and partial biological degradation, providing primary purification

This radioactive effluent delay tank collects and temporarily stores wastewater, mainly from diagnostic procedures.

Generally speaking, there are no special requirements for storing combined wastewater in these tanks. However, some precautions must be strictly observed:

• No special precautions are required for ingested medications
• Normal use of bleach or other household products is tolerated
• For more regular use of detergents, the use of appropriate products is strongly recommended
• The delay tank must be drained at least every four years
• It must be filled with water before and after each drainage operation

Optional pumping station

The pumping station pumps radioactive effluents to tanks, and non-radioactive effluents to the hospital’s standard wastewater drainage system when gravity operation is not possible.

The pumping station features a control panel where malfunctions can be rectified and maintenance can be carried out.
