DESCRIPTION
Airshield is an integrated ventilation penetration system built in to concrete walls.
The ventilation penetrations are each composed of two main elements, the ring and the helical screw:
On delivery, the penetration is ready to install in the structural form panels prior to casting the concrete.
The assembly systems are made of steel grades that are compatible with those used for the production of the ring and the connecting flanges.
Airshield ventilates a hot cell by providing uniform radiation protection through the structural walls.
Airshield is compliant with ISO 15080 and M62-233 standards.
Lemer Pax has developed penetrations to attenuate specific types of radiation, including neutron radiation.
It consists of a stainless-steel sheath containing thousands of balls. The design of these balls combines several unique features:
